Performance coaching: deliver when it matters
Preparation, focus and composure for the moments that decide things. Coaching plus NLP and hypnotherapy, built around the event you have coming up.

Performance coaching is about one thing: being at your best on the day. With me, that means a clear plan, practical preparation and, crucially, work on how your mind and body react under pressure, using NLP and hypnotherapy alongside the coaching.
Who it's for
- Speakers and presenters ahead of a conference, keynote or results day
- Leaders preparing for a pitch, an interview or a board meeting
- Performers: actors, musicians and broadcasters
- Athletes and anyone in competitive sport
- Students and professionals facing exams and assessments
How a performance programme works
- Free call. We talk about the event, the date and what usually goes wrong.
- Baseline. The first session pins down your goal and what pressure does to you now.
- Rehearsal in hypnosis. You run through the event in vivid detail while staying calm and clear, until composure feels normal.
- Anchors and routines. NLP techniques give you a way to call up a focused state on cue, plus a pre-event routine.
- Final session before the day. A last run-through, timed for when it helps most.
Why hypnotherapy makes coaching stick
Knowing what to do and doing it under pressure are different skills. The gap is the automatic response: adrenaline, a blank mind, a voice that tightens. Rehearsing in hypnosis trains that response directly, so the preparation you've done is still there when the spotlight comes on.
Sessions are in Farringdon or online by Teams or Zoom. For leaders and teams see executive coaching; for life and career goals see life coaching.
What it feels like on the day
Clients describe the same thing in different words: the nerves are still there, but they feel useful rather than overwhelming. They notice the moment they'd normally tense up, and instead they settle. Their attention goes outwards, to the audience, the ball or the question, rather than inwards to their own racing thoughts. That's the state we rehearse.
After the event
We don't stop at the day itself. A short debrief afterwards captures what worked, so you can repeat it, and turns any wobble into a lesson rather than a new worry. Over time each event builds on the last, and pressure becomes something you look forward to.
Questions about performance coaching
My event is soon. Is there time?
Usually, yes. Tell me the date on the free call and we'll plan the sessions to peak at the right moment.
Is this the same as sports psychology?
It's coaching combined with NLP and hypnotherapy. It works for sport, stage and boardroom alike, and fits well alongside any coaching you already have.
How many sessions?
Some clients need two or three before a single event; others choose a 7-hour programme for an ongoing role. See fees.
Your first call is free: 15 to 30 minutes on the phone or video. Or ring 07923 495558.
